About Us...

An Automotive Service Company

Family Owned and operated since 1964!

Wilson's Auto Body has been serving car and truck owners in Baltimore since 1964. Hard to imagine being in business for that long, but we have been.

Wilsons Auto Body History...

In 1978, Frank Bohdal III started sweeping Wilson’s Auto Body shop at the young age of 14 years old. Frankie, as his friends call him, moved quickly to working on cars; sanding taping and prepping the vehicles for paint. Still at the age of 14 Frankie, continued to learn the art of automobile bodywork and metal welding.  Richard Wilson, the original owner of Wilson’s Auto Body, was like a  second father to Frankie and referred to him as son. All the people in the neighborhood and customers came to know Frankie as “Little Wilson”.

By the time Frankie was 16, he went to Vocational High School for Auto Body and ended up teaching the class!  Many of the customers that Frankie did work for at the age of 16 are still customers today and they have passed down the tradition to family members who now bring their Cars to Wilson’s Auto Body for work.

Interestingly enough, Wilson's Auto Body originally started as a custom corvette  shop, but quickly branched out into all other makes and models of cars.
After graduating from Vocational High School, Frankie started working at Wilson’s full time.  Sadly, in 1995, Mr. Wilson passed away and Frankie took the reins of the shop, continuing to manage it while making it thrive.

Since Frankie was running the shop, he decided to purchase the business. In 1997 Frankie purchased Wilson's Auto Body and has been running it successfully since then adding in a new $50,000 state of the art paint booth, a heavy duty frame rack, an automobile lift, $10,000 air compression system and many other great improvements!

Now in 2008, Wilson’s Auto Body is completely managed by Frankie and His family as they continue to grow the business.
To quote Frankie from a recent interview “…during our 44 years we have built a reputation of quality service and unsurpassed customer care, a reputation we successfully maintain each day.”

Nothing means more to Frank “Frankie” Bohdal III than keeping his customers happy, them being able to walk in and say "Hey Frankie!" and being able to offer affordable repairs. This he has been doing, personally, since 1978 carrying on the Wilson’s Auto Body tradition!
